Oct 23, 2017  I’m composing this review on the new Microsoft Modern Keyboard with fingerprint reader. This keyboard is perfect for a shared PC. Windows Hello and the keyboard feature make changing accounts a two key touch process. My wife and I share a Kitchen PC and we both rely on our Microsoft Accounts for services. If you are looking for the optical keyboards with the Fingerprint sensor, the Microsoft Keyboard – Optical Desktop with Fingerprint Reader is an excellent choice you can go with. The keyboard comes with an optical mouse as well. A few features that make it a good option include. The keyboard has one-touch buttons for media access. Our vision was to blend the Fingerprint reader into a keyboard, so it would appear to be any other key. We iterated relentlessly to improve each layer, making sure they came together to create a flawless typing experience that felt like any other key. Microsoft Modern Keyboard with Fingerprint ID. Mar 05, 2008  By the way, the fingerprint reader built into my new Dell laptop works instantly with IE7. The software is from a different company than DigitalPersona. If you need a fingerprint reader for strictly security reasons (and not speed) then this keyboard is probably fine.

   'There has been a big push towards computer gaming peripherals over the past few years. One of the best I have tried is the DigitalPersona keyboard. It provides excellent tactile feedback and also has a built in fingerprint reader, which I have never seen in a keyboard before.'

   'This is a decent keyboards but it's not really a gaming keyboard. It's difficult to find gaming keyboards with usb fingerprint reader. Good gaming keyboards have to have some features like backlit, high speed, mechanical switches to name a few. It seems that you may have to choose which is more important, good gaming keyboard or fingerprint reader. This keyboard is fine for a casual gamer, but if you are an avid and serious gamer, you probably want a keyboard designed for gaming and add a usb fingerprint reader.'

   'This is a great keyboard for gaming. It is very sturdy, each time I push a button I am able to hear the key being pressed so I do not feel like I am guessing whether or not I have pushed a button as is the case with some other keyboards. I also like the fingerprint reader as I can use it as a security feature for my computer to stop anyone else from accessing important files.'
